He worked his way up to the factory’s Plant Manager and Senior Wood Buyer’s position, taking the factory through the height of the Cooper brand days in the 1980s and 1990s. He has been grading wood since 1973. Every year when buying wood, Ross personally hand selects billets he feels are good enough to keep in his collection for the year to be used for special players, teams, and events.
